Buy Soil
Looking to Buy Soil?
Why not buy the perfect soil? The type of soil that doesn’t require fertilizer OR constant purchase of soil year after year after year. . .is available to you, but probably not in the form to which you are accustomed. This type of perfect soil is actually a mixture of essential components necessary for superior plant growth. Although it seems like this perfect soil mix should be called never ending soil, it is actually just a trade off in selecting only a small portion of the soil (the most nutrient-rich portion of the soil) to be replenished. Buying soil should instead be traded for buying compost!
Instead of purchasing soil year after year only to realize that plants aren’t growing as well as they used to (and now you are thinking about purchasing fertilizer), just purchase the portion of the soil where the BEST nutrients are located! All you need to do is purchase compost yearly, or stay busy making your own compost very inexpensively. (It’s a simple process that you and your garbage man can both appreciate).
Do Not Buy Soil!
1. DO NOT PURCHASE TOPSOIL!
2. MAKE A SOIL MIX! (Do not buy soil)!
3. CREATE A GARDEN OF WHICH YOU CAN BE PROUD!
When you have invested in these three components, you are sure to have soil that will thoroughly satisfy plant intake needs. Please, I beg you, don’t waste your time or money by purchasing topsoil that will soon loose its nutrients! You and your plants will be happy that you decided to get off the topsoil “merry-go-round,” and decided instead to purchase soil of value! Purchasing peat moss, compost, and your choice of aeration aid, instead of buying soil, will put you on your way to a healthy, nutritious, and productive garden.
So, you may be wondering,
“How do I get this system of perfect soil started?”
Peat moss
Peat moss is a light-weight, but mineral-rich component necessary for a great soil mix. Because peat moss is a type of dried moss, it allows for minerals to be leached into the soil over time, rather than all at once. (Do not buy soil)!
Compost
Compost is a combination of materials that supply most of the nutrients for plants. The greater the variety, the better your plants will grow! (Do not buy soil)!
Aeration aid
Choosing worms, vermiculite, or perlite—without quartz, are all viable options for aerating your soil. When you do so, you increase the amount of gasses that can reach your plant, allowing for much healthier productivity from your plants. (Do not buy soil)!
